Facelift Procedures at Our Upper East Side Manhattan Plastic Surgery Center

As you get older, the natural aging process combined with sun exposure, stress, gravity, and other environmental factors can cause facial skin to loosen and sag, which can make you look older than you actually are (or than you care to admit). Aging gracefully does not mean that you cannot fight it every step of the way; you just need to fight the process with a touch of class. To help you combat the effects of aging, New York cosmetic surgeon Craig Foster offers facelift procedures at his Manhattan plastic surgery center. In addition to the facelift variations listed below, our Upper East Side board-board-certified surgeon also offers other facial plastic surgery procedures, including rhinoplasty (commonly referred to as a "nose job"), eyelid surgery, and facial implants. Contact us today and set-up a consultation to learn more about our procedures, their benefits, costs, and expected recovery times.

Facelift Procedure

By meeting with our experienced New York plastic surgeon for a facelift consultation, you and Dr. Foster will be able to determine what type of facelift procedure would work best for you or if you would benefit from a less-invasive procedure like microdermabrasion, and chemical peels.  In many cases, patients who visit Dr. Foster's Manhattan practice need a full facelift to best rejuvenate their appearance. In a full facelift, Dr. Foster tightens and re-drapes the skin and muscles on the entire face and neck to give you a younger, natural look. A full facelift is combines lower and mid facelifts and a brow lift for an overall rejuvenated result.

Lower Facelift

The lower facelift procedure performed by Dr. Foster targets sagging skin around the mouth, along the jaw line, and on the neck. The lower face and neck commonly show early signs of aging, and some patients prefer to target this specific area rather than pursue a full facelift. If you are bothered by jowls and loose skin on your neck, a lower facelift can rejuvenate and transform your appearance, providing a refreshed, more youthful look.

Mid Facelift

For patients who have loose skin primarily around the lower eyelids and cheeks, a mid facelift may be the best option. If you are concerned about the skin around this area of your face, it is important for you to meet with our Manhattan surgeon for a facelift consultation so that Dr. Foster can help determine whether you would benefit more from a mid facelift or a combination of lower eyelid surgery and cheek implants.

Mini "Weekend" Facelift

Dr. Foster offers the mini facelift to many of the younger New York patients at his Upper East Side practice. Nicknamed the "weekend facelift" for the quickness of the procedure and its shortened recovery time, the mini facelift is ideal for Manhattan-area patients in their 30s and 40s who are just starting to experience sagging or drooping of facial skin. Dr. Foster uses endoscopic techniques to perform the mini "weekend" facelift, which allows for quicker recovery and minor scars.
